chip off the ol' engine block
Jun. 26th, 2002 09:18 pmdriving to my aunt's house tonight, my nephew played name-that-car. he'll point out things like "there's a car like yours" or "there's a van like papaw's." we were sitting at a stoplight, and he said "there's a Grand Am in front of us."
Mind you, he's in the back seat, buckled down good. He'll be six in a couple weeks.
so i said "you're right! that IS a Grand Am in front of us. Could you tell by looking at it, or can you read the words on the back?"
"oh, i can tell by looking at it" he tells me, as if everyone can identfy cars this easily.
yes, he's most definitely his father's son.
