Friday night - fell asleep on the couch about 4pm, roused myself enough to crawl to bed, and slept soundly until it was time to get up.
Saturday - met Dan for breakfast at the market at 9, after stopping for diet coke (why?) and goodies from Baker Benji's. got to the market 30 minutes prior to opening, even after cruising around downtown for a bit. breakfast and bagels from Dough, and raging disappointment that Yellow Springs Bakery wasn't open. NO CAKE FOR YOU! home, and napped pretty much the rest of the day. so much for enjoying things and getting out and living.
Sunday - Beth's birthday breakfast at Waffle House. She's leaving on her actual bday for International Travel Adventures, so we had to pull this together early. I thought 9am at Waffle House would be chill; it was not. I mean, it's way better than late night-weekend-drunk waffle house, but there was no lingering as the folx waiting for a table were giving us stink-eye.
finally return library books from two months ago, mailed a postcard, came home and crashed.
tomorrow is HD day for me. blech. also need to do laundry so I have something clean to wear to Cincy on Tuesday. No naps on tuesday, either, since I'll leave immediately after work, get to cincy and check into my hotel, get ready and Lyft to Bogart's, rock out with Better Than Ezra, then find a Lyft/Uber back to the hotel to crash. Hoping to get close enough to the stage to get one of Tom Drummond's guitar picks. Also secretly hoping that because i just dropped $$$ on one of his prints (working with him directly!), I'll get to meet him or other such rockstar nonsense. Just because Darren Jessee chats me up doesn't mean these guys will.
