just_cydhad a moderately productive day today, despite getting to work 10 minutes late and cutting out early. got my desk mostly cleaned off, and i think i'm ready to face a busy week next week.
came home all inspired, so i cleaned up the flower bed, threw down some wildflower seeds, and did general straightening-up downstairs. cleared off the couch so it could have its picture taken (it didn't want to smile, but assured me it'd cooperate with its new owners, whoever they might be), and settled in to my newly-clean couch to read a surprisingly good book. it was one of those can't-put-it-down, upset-when-it-ends kinda books. The Nanny Diaries was like that: sat down to read it, and didn't get up til the thing was over.
tomorrow is prom! hooray! i'm not at all ready, but i've got most of tomorrow to get my act together and get down to Dani's, where my dress is. i'm hoping for cooperative hair, body, stockings and brain. any one of those could decide to pout or protest, and ruin my night. i think i'll take in some retail therapy on the way down. my new underwear needs the matching bras, and having had to put three ancient bras out of their misery this week, i feel i can easily justify the splurge. besides, lane bryant has them buy 2 get 2 free. how can i pass that up?
