The Cookie Lady has come out of retirement!!! i baked 14 dozen (172 to be precise) chocolate chip cookies tonight for Deb to take to The Other Place tomorrow for lunch. The Other Place is the only daytime homeless shelter in Dayton, and on Saturdays she goes down to help out with making sack lunches. she said they do about 70 a week, so they should have more than enough cookies for everyone. She picked them up about 10:30, and she was so excited to see the overflowing bags of goodies. she even tried to pay me for the ingredients, but i told her no, to put the money towards something that'll need it. Told her i could commit to baking once a month, if that worked for them, and she was thrilled.
