i'm currently reading a book called Second Thyme Around, which was written by a british author ... i can tell this based on the spelling and language used. things like "honour," "realised," "knickers" for underwear, etc. one thing i haven't yet figured out is what type of clothing "jumper" is in brit-speak. i know what a jumper is here in the states ... i wear them all the time. the usage doesn't give me much help ... i'm guessing it's a button-up or other shirt, and not a dress. I wonder if [livejournal.com profile] zuzijo can help??
