amazing discoveries

just_cydmy cat has made all sorts of new discoveries in the last day or so. things like my bedroom window, which he can look out if he perches ever so carefully on the footboard of my bed. then there's the underside of my bed. he had a little energetic spurt yesterday where he'd come dashing up the stairs and dive under the bed, only to shoot back downstairs, cause a ruckus, and rack back upstairs and repeat the process. pretty hilarious, especially the hairpin turn at the top of the stairs.
he's also discovered under my dresser, the insides of my cupboards, and the countertops. oddly enough, the only furniture he ever climbs on is my bed. if he's on the couch, it's to get to my lap. he might join me for a nap, but i've never found him asleep on his own there, and i see very little cathair evidence that he favors anything but my bed during my absences. he took a keen interest in my bathtub this morning, and was less discouraged than usual by the water.
i suspect it's just a matter of days before he succees in opening the cupboards himself, and playing in the bathtub.
