Another wasted day

Today was to be a cleaning frenzy day. i hadn't done dishes since last friday (yes ... eight days!!), the fridge and freezer were lacking food for lunches, and dirty laundry threatened to grow limbs and terrorize the cat on his way to the litterbox.
dishes got done, laundry got done, and lasagnes got made. That's where it fell apart. i told myself "get the laundry going, do the dishes, and you can finish your book". i did finish the book, and another book as well. i did manage to get the rest of the laundry wrestled to the basement and through the washing and drying, and, for most of it, the putting-away.
My BIG accomplishment for the day (aside from reading 400+ pgs of fiction?) was making two lasagnes with edible tofu ricotta. the key to tofu ricotta, i've discovered, is in the seasonings. i always under-season, fearing i'll over-do it. it's hard to over-season something like tofu. i really thought that a tsp each of basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and salt would be too much for a brick of tofu, but i was pleasantly surprised how good it was! culinary success is so good for my ego.
the cat's asleep on my freshly-made bed, i'm supposed to be job-hunting, and i'm once again up much too late.
