if models are on the cutting edge of the fashion world, i must be on the dull, gnarly edge of the fashion world. Take today's ensemble for example: the cream-colored shirt doesn't clash too bad with the white/hunter/navy/berry cardigan and navy slacks. my ring is even the same tone (silver) as the cardigan's largish buttons. but it all falls apart from there: navy slacks, black socks, charcoal shoes. Where are the Fashion Police when you need them?

Is there a halfway house for Fashion Felons that i can check into? perhaps a detox program that i can attend to help me regain my sense of color? it's one thing to have mis-matched socks as a result of a too-dark room; it's quite another to knowingly put together an ensemble of this sort.

Doesn't seem that bad to me - the pants obviously match the sweater, and to me, the charcoal shoes are acceptable with the navy pants. I guess technically navy shoes would go better, but think charcoal is okay - black is the only thing I'd really avoid, and even that wouldn't be a major crime. So sounds like the only problem to me is the socks - and who sees your socks anyway?:)

i do. and i spend the whole day thinking "i really shoulda wore blue socks. i bet they'd have looked less horrible than this. or maybe i shoulda wore different shoes..."
