just_cydi love these lazy days that seem to last forever. after a very late night of babysitting, i lazed in bed til almost 11am with kitty snuggled in with me. got up, ate breakfast, ran an errand, and came back home to the comfort of my A/C.
the afternoon has moved so slowly, but i like that. laundry is almost done and all put away. i gave the kitty some catnip and watched him attack his toy and yarn. nearly devoured an entire book. confronted the odd feeling of not wanting to eat, and decided to eat a light lunch/dinner about 4:30 to ward of the shakes. packed up the leftovers for lunches.
framed a bunch of photos yesterday, and spent today arranging them with a lamp and other things on a table rescued from the basement. it is refreshing to change the landscape of my living room. it's looked the same for nearly five years. i've noticed as i pull out of the deep blue funk of depression, i'm more likely to look around and say "hey, i don't like that. i should move/get rid of it," and actually do it.
The only tasks left to tackle are making the bed, and doing up the dishes. lots of other little things could get done, but i'm not going to kill myself with housework. i think i'll take a shower instead. i love sleeping on fresh sheets just after a shower... it feels so decadant.

what new book are you starting? i devoured a book today called The Reader, but i'm not sure what to pick up next.

Date: 2002-07-21 07:19 pm (UTC)I just went to the bookstoe today and got two new books - a true crime story by Ann Rule (I love her books and am working my way through all of them) and a mystery by an author named Michael Connelly, who was recommended to me yesterday by a friend.
